Allow Me to Introduce Myself
My writing seeks to break free from monoliths and pedestals. An openness to profound confusion has shaped not only my creative work but also my life.
I am a recent graduate of Georgia Southern University, where I double-majored in Writing and Women's & Gender Studies. During my time there, I served as Managing Editor for The George-Anne, an experience that allowed me to refine my skills in storytelling, editing, and leadership. My studies and editorial work helped me develop a deeper ability to connect with diverse communities through an intersectional lens, a perspective I hold close to my heart.
Under the guidance of my mentor Jared Yates Sexton, author of American Rule, I discovered my passion for nonfiction storytelling. I found that the most compelling stories often come from the overlooked and unheard.
